Packing Out

It takes an expert eye to differentiate which item safe to restore from an item that is completely unsalvageable. So before we begin restoring your valuables, we first need to pick out the items that are deemed salvageable. Depending on the disaster your property encountered, we can spare as many items as possible, from the smallest electronic device to the biggest piece of furniture. Packing out will also make it easier for us to transport your damaged valuables to our facility where they will be treated and cared for accordingly.

Dry Cleaning

Dry cleaning is reserved for cleaning light residues, and for textile items like rugs, clothing, and upholstery. This process works like your typical laundry day, but instead of using a washing machine and detergent, we dry clean your items using tetrachloroethylene, and on a much larger scale. Tetrachloroethylene is a chemical solvent that cleans all kinds of textiles, including delicate fabrics like silk and wool. Tetrachloroethylene also eliminates the need of hand washing, which makes the entire process much faster. Plus, our dry cleaning process can also prepare your other damaged items that need to go through wet cleaning.

Wet Cleaning

Wet Cleaning is for damaged items that incurred heavy residue. The process is similar to our dry cleaning method, but instead of using a chemical solution, we clean the items with biodegradable soaps and conditioners. We also have various pressing and re-shaping equipment for those items that have different fabric and fiber types.

Ultrasonic Cleaning

Ultrasonic cleaning uses the power of high-frequency sound waves to clean your items that are riddled with smoke residue, mold, heat scale, oxides, and microscopic dust. In this process, your valuables are placed in water, which is then vibrated via high-frequency sound waves. This assures that every bit of the grime and dust are removed, especially in those hard to reach places.

Specialized Drying Chambers

Kennedy Restoration has two types of drying chambers. We have a drying chamber specifically for electronics (e.g. computers, televisions, consoles, etc.) and another for paper items (e.g. books, important documents, files, etc.). The electronic chambers in Kennedy Restoration can gently and delicately restore all of your electronic and mechanical items. This particular restoration method uses precision cleaning equipment such as:

• 10” Long Tube or Nozzle (For Cleaning Hard-to-Reach Places)
• Built-in air gun (For Removing Surface Contaminants and Excess Moisture)
• Exhaust blower and Ventilation System (For Reducing Vapor Mist and Lowers Emission)

Deodorization

Finally, our deodorization restoration process uses deodorization equipment and supplies to eliminate the odors of smoke and other noxious scents. The equipment can remove smells that are caught between cracks and hard-to-reach areas, for complete cleaning and restoration.
